My Diba Day… My EVA Day…

Today, marks the day of two legends. Nelson Mandela and Eva Johnson, both born on the 18th July. My grandmother would have been celebrating her 89th birthday today. So as we celebrate ‘Ma Diba Day’ we will be celebrating ‘My EVA Day’ #MyEVADay as well as our one year Anniversary of the ForEVA Straws, my first born.

This was not mentioned previously but THE FOREVA FOUNDATION was initiated early April 2018, the foundation is a small non-profit foundation started to raise donations, sponsors and funds to go towards Giving Back. A Give Back initiative in the name of Eva Johnson the one who lived to give. The one who taught me what it was to give, the one who taught me the importance of being selfless.

On the 27th May 2018 we managed to feed 100 beautiful souls in Diepsloot, Johannesburg. For the month of June to July we are running a nan and purity drive for Doors of Hope orphanage, Johannesburg. In the first week of August we will be sponsoring a young females motivational talk in Durban, hosted by ex Miss South Africa Finalist, Iman Sheik, for young girls who attend Hillview Secondary School (one female learner per grade will be selected) as well as some young girls from Newlands East, Durban. For the month of August and September we will be raising funds for SANCCOB in Cape Town who is doing an amazing job rescuing penguins and they are in the process of building a new penguin hospital.

Today, the 18th July 2018 we have the honour of collaborating with, Piatto, Bites Media, Onxy Entertainment and Rivers Foundation. We are giving back to the New Generation School in Vlakfontein. We managed to feed over 900 children at the school. What an absolute honour.

This is exactly what my grandmother was about, this is exactly what she taught all of her children and grandchildren. Give, help, assist, all the time, where you can and even where you cannot.  There is no better satisfaction than to be able to assist someone with something that they do not have. The feeling is pricelist. This is certainly something I know that my grandmother would have been extremely proud of.

I am humbled, I am honoured, I am blessed.

Happy Birthday Ma.. My Queen.

Happy Birthday Madiba.
